Description
The SDS7 was the first Simmons to offer a digital sound source in addition to the familiar and time-tested analog sound generation. Both “worlds” can be mixed. Each of the up to 12 modules carries an EPROM with an 8-bit sound sample that can be processed with the well-known and successful analog filters. These sounds are taken from a Simmons library or can be sampled and burned with the EPROM Blower EPB. The filter settings can be stored in up to 99 kits. The first 16 can be quickly selected with the Selector Pad. The frame includes a connector for a hihat pedal, just like the SDS5 pedal. NEVER!!!!! use a hihat pedal other than the original unless you want to melt your pedal! The SDS7 was the successor to the famous SDS5 in 1983 and came out as the new flagship from Simmons.
